1965 Honda ca 77 clutch

I have a 1965 Honda ca77 and I need to know the sequence of the clutch plates and disks with spring clips.

Most people leave out the thin spring wires as they sometimes break up and fall into the engine.

How about that... I didn't know that about the spring wires when I had my clutch apart. I put the spring wires back in. Ah well...

Not to worry.
Back in the EARLY 60's issue the first steel plate was so thin that it would (and did) warp back on the center hub and the clutch was pretty much useless.
To cure this problem HONDA installed a plate which for all purposes is twice as thick as the original.
Doing this the plate covered the slot for the first wire and YOU COULDN'T INSTALL THE WIRES.
HONDA then issued a new center hub with the slot out enough for the steel plate to allow for the first and any other wires to be installed.
Granted Bill Silver did print that we left the wires out as They May Brake.
Fact was that with the change you couldn't install it until the hub redesign.
"I've discussed this with Bill and after thought he agrees that the wires can be installed without fear of breakage as neither he or I have never found broken ones with any of the many engine we have worked with".
Now remember there were 5 disc, 4 disc, 6 disc and finally back to 5 disc clutches.
From 1960 to 1967 HONDA made 9 actual clutch designs and finally at #8 cured the Slipping Clutch problem. ........................lm
