Just bought a 66 cl77 it has a 46 tooth rear sprocket don't know what front sprocket is yet ,but the guy I bought it from says it is wound out @ 55 mph any suggestions on correct combos would be appreciated .

Jack,
The 46 tooth was probably put on there to ride trails so is Very short legged.
Stock came with 15/37 and what you decide on depends on what style you would ride this bike.
Stock 15/37 gave you a dual sport on/off road gearing and worked quite well. I found off road to be more kidney jarring than I remember from 40 years ago and decided to go with a road gear combo of 16/36. I ride35 to 50 mph on country roads and like this combo although she doesn't like 35mph in 4Th all that much. I find I'm running in 3rd a lot. Hope this helps,,,,,,,,,,,Rusty
