CB77 Aftermarket fork springs

Post by Len » Wed Mar 14, 2012 12:27 pm

Hello guys,
Does anyone know of anywhere that makes/sells aftermarket/race/etc fork springs for early model forks? Or would anyone have the O.D of the springs and length? Email Racetech and they wanted to know the O.D (outer diameter) and length... Along with motorcycle weight and rider weight. I only have the ones thats on my bike now and am trying not to disassemble yet.
Thanks!

Len,

there are at least 3 different forks. Are yours steel or aluminum lowers? Fork tube diameter?

Davo,
Thanks for the quick reply. They are steel lowers with a diameter of 33mm.
Thanks!

You're welcome Len! I just checked the bucket full of forks that I have, and unfortunately, everything is mixed up! I have CL72, CL77 Aluminum, and CB77 steel fork parts, but nothing is labeled, and I'm not sure which springs came from which forks. Hopefully someone else can jump in and measure some that they have apart.

Davo,
Thanks for checking!
Anyone else have access to CB77 forks (steel lowers) springs? And willing to measure outer diameter and length?
Thanks!

Hey Hill, thank you so much! And yeah, if you have a chance that would help me out tons. I see you're in Portland. Did you get a chance to go to the 21 helmets/ one show? Looked pretty neat. And damn! You have quite the quiver of bikes! Anyways, thanks again.
