Hi, I have been through several sets through the years and somehow ended up with 1974 XL175 bars. The bars I am holding up are the ones that came with the bike. They are swept back further than I like. Are they the correct bars for this bike? I also have high bars that are way to high.

That is too extreme a pullback for stock bars. There should be no cutouts or holes for wiring on stock CL72/77 bars as all wiring was external and there was no starter switch on the right. Also there should be two locating punch marks on the outside of the knurling facing the rider. I've not seen any aftermarket bars with locating punch marks. Depending on how/where you measure pullback is 4-5 inches and width is 29-30 inches as memory serves me.

The CL77 bars have a thicker crossbrace than the 160/175 versions and no holes drilled for wiring. Looks like yours are the right ones, wrong pullback angle, maybe the PO did some custom bending on the ends.
