Hi there. Got a CB77 in for fork seals, and need some forum help ASAP! Engine # is CB77E - 1017437. Frame# CB771017539. The forks are aluminum sliders, and the seal holders have no way of removing them (unlike ones with external holes for a tool) Not sure exactly what year the forks are, or where we can get a pair of new holders. One of them is 'gnarled up' from having a pipe wrench used on it -- and it still won't break loose. Any info - including part #'s for the holders would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Brid

Hi
Those seal holders just push on to the aluminium fork slider. Trouble is corrosion sets in and makes them hard to remove. Heat, patience and penetrating oil are the key. Seal holder is Pt Num 51499-268-330 - Hard to find G '60 C77 '60 C72 '62 C72 Dream '63 CL72

There used to be wonderful step-by-step instructions for type II (Later) fork seal replacements on Rivet Restorations. The link does not work anymore. DOes anyone happen to have a PDF copy?
