Footpeg placement

I would like to use the rearmost placement of the footpegs and remove the passenger footpegs. It appears that all I have to do is replace the gearshift rod with a longer one.

Anyone with experience?

Yes, a longer rod is required. I made mine from a steel rod, 1/4 inch, threaded both ends, and used rod ends to attach on both ends.

I have my cb72 set up like that. It's a pretty extreme riding position. A CT-90 cylinder head stud is the right length/size/threaded ends for the extended shift rod. the stock shift rod ends (the ones with right hand threads) will fit right on.

Randy, are you saying the stud will bolt right on?

I thought the threads were backwards on the shift rod.

This is like discovering gold!
