This is surely old hat to a lot of you older dudes, but I'm about to replace my cb77 brake shoes for the first time and I was wondering if there's anything I should know that isn't intuitive. I've replaced brake shoes on mopeds with smaller shoes and it was pretty simple but what about the cb77? Do I have to do anything to the wheel hub? Should I get something to support the bike when I remove the front or back wheel? Any other maintenance I should do while I'm in there?
Thanks for any advice.

That photostream is good in general for seeing stuff and getting some tips. I do all my work behind my house. I don't have a garage, bike stand or anything so I'm gonna have to get creative with supporting the front end while I take the wheel off. I suppose if I can get something under the engine I might be able to support it, experiment I guess, but it's tough to do solo, hard to hold up a bike and try moving things under it. Anyways, What about "arcing" the pads to the drums? Should I just get in there trial and error and make sure the pads mate fully to the hub, sanding down as I go?
