TYPE I or TYPE II Rear Break Shoes?

Post by uadmlj1 » Tue Mar 15, 2011 8:06 pm

I've got the rear wheel off my '66 CL77. While the brake pads are not shot, they are much thinner than the front so I'd like to replace them. I haven't been able to find out how you tell if you have TYPE I or II wheels/brakes. Also, any recommendation on where to buy? Thanks in advance.

Early (65) only has one brake lever. Later, which you should have has two arms with a rod that runs between them.
