CB72 swingarm questions

Post by Mike Law » Mon Sep 19, 2005 10:58 pm

Hi All,
I am doing aestoration on a 1964ish CB72and need help with several questions:

1. There are two large washers that are rubber coated that push into the frame on either side. The swingarm axel goes through these. What are they called, and does anyone have a part number?

2. Now, once the swingarm is mounted and ready for the axel, there are two more similar rubber coated washers that go over the ends of the swingarm and the axel goes through them, one on each side. What are they called and is there a part number?

3. And for the question that really baffles me... I have ONE additional rubber coated washer similar to question #2, but it's larger in diameter, is "graduated" inside, and also rubber coated. Should there be two, and where the hell does it, or they, go?

Your help would be greatly be appreciated.

PS-where does one get a parts book with numbers, etc.

Thanks,
Mike

The first rubber parts are available from HONDA but are not the old part number. I'll have to go to my shop and find the part number that is on one of my packages. The second is not available at all from HONDA. I have no idea what the third part is. ................LM

For once HONDA used the same part on a newer bike and change the numbers to show the newer bike. ................LM
