So I heard that Cheng Shin is out of business, but some online research yielded IRC NR21 tires. They seem to be available in both 2.75 and 3.00 sizes.

Our options seem to be getting smaller....

My dad had a 4.00 on the rear when i got it, real close fit on fender and center stand hit without mufflers on adjusted center on adjustment range. I put stock sizes on and stand dos'nt hit at zero setting.

3.5 tire

Post by jleewebb » Mon Dec 28, 2009 10:28 pm

I had a new 3.5" rear tire put on my bike not too long before it went into hibernation in '74...When I went to remove the wheel during resurrection, I discovered there wasn't clearance to get it off without breaking the chain at master link, even with bike laying on its side. Just my experience, for what it's worth. --Lee

I'm not sure about the racing tires. All I know is that you should stick with the stock sizes.

cb 77 tires

Dont know about race tires, but Scrambler Cycle has Heidenau tires in the correct sizes for the CB 77. I just got a set. 2 ply, rated for 93 mph and 112 mph as I recall. Look like a quality product.
