Cb77 Rear Shocks?

I had the same experience with the woman, very nice but obviously an order-taker and apparently a gate-keeper too.
Sorry you couldn't get past her, Claus actually builds the shocks so he was able to answer all my questions.
Thanks for your suggestions, drilling out a 10mm bolt to make a threaded insert is not something I would have thought of on my own.

Just noticed that you are in South Lewsiana. I worked in Lake Charles many moons ago. Great place... gorgeous women. Friendly women, too.

I have a lathe, so if you need someone to do this for you, I'd be glad to see if it will work. A 10mm bolt won't stop me from eatin' and I'm curious if you can fit an 8mm thread in the middle. I'll drill and tap a bolt for you if you want and send it down. You can pay me back with a cold pitcher of beer and a beer tray of mud bugs if I ever get back down that way.

Let me get the shocks and see what it's going to take to inst them and I'll let you know about the inserts.

Okay. Maybe this weekend I'll dig out a 10mm bolt and see if an 8mm thread will find down the middle.

Give Clause a call and see if that clevis is threaded or uses a bolt and nut arrangement.

Well, I called and had them ship the YSS shocks that I had on hold.
Still not exactly sure how I'll mount them but I'll let you all know how they work out.
Rob - Claus is on vacation in Germany till the end of the month, that might be why they didn't put you on with him.

I had a brain phardt last night regarding how to reproduce the lower chrome covers in stainless. Going to do some field research tonight since the wife is dragging me out to buy new pillows. If my momentary lapse into lucidity proves fruitful, I'll report back with my plan.

It's either clean the gutters now or go look for pillows (great choice, huh?) so I'm going with the pillows since I can do a bike thing at the same time.

Might pick up a 10mm bolt while I'm at it.
