Just a note to you CB and CL guys with nasty, pitted fork tubes: Frank is still forking away.
Forking by Frank has been doing it since 1966 and they never tag anything as obsolete. He's still doing the 305's as well as all the old Honda's and everything else from AJS to Zundapp. He'll even do over stock length or even under(?) stock! Outer springs and collars too. Everything Hard chromed.
Just thought I'd pass it along while it was on my mind. He just sent me some up to date info, so it was fresh in my mind.

REPLACEMENT FORK TUBES
My guys (Wolf Cycles in Arbutus, MD.) contacted Frank's (I don't think Frank himself is around anymore -- it's his wife Mary who runs the show there), and she said that yes, they can do CB77 fork tubes, but they are a royal pain in the butt to do, and everything is hand done because of all the different tapers in the CB77 tubes. Plus, it will probably take about 2 months and will run around
$ 800.00. They don't exactly have CB77 fork tubes sitting on a shelf there ready to go, and it is a VERY involved process (or so Mary led us to believe). I wanted the external fork spring look, but after I heard about this long and laborious procedure, we opted to clean up what we have and do it ourselves.
