replacing clutch cable

Post by darktolight » Tue Feb 27, 2007 7:09 pm

Hello everyone! New to the forum and sorta new to motorcycles (hondas especially). I was wondering if someone could help with a problem. I just bought a 1966 cb77(the most fun I've ever had on a bike). I need to replace my clutch cable but not too sure whats going on with the cable at the crankcase. Do I loosen the adjustment nut and then pop off that little cover? Any input would be much appreciated. Thanks for you help

Remove the entire case/cover and you will see what to do next.
Be sure to lube the area that the shaft goes into that has the ball bearing in it.
Loosten the bolt on the outside with a 10mm wrench and turn the gray part with the slot left/right and then to the right to bottom then back 1/8 inch and tighten the bolt.
If ya don't have a parts book and manual ya best get one soon. ..........lm
