Need Fork Seals for '66Scrambler CL77

Post by Dickj » Sat Dec 10, 2011 2:24 pm

I need help locating front fork seals for my 1966 Scrambler CL77 #1039146. I bought the bike new and it sat 35 years and I am restoring it. Please direct me as to where to look. I looked at a million things on EBay but didn't see anything yet.

My rear shocks are shot also and I need to buy new ones. I noticed a post from DaveMoto in Marin County and he mentioned the ones for sale on EBay for $80 may be junk. He mentioned looking for a substitute. Possibly Redwing, S&W or Koni shocks. Where do I find those? I hope you read this Davo so I can move forward with my project. This forum is great!

Thanks in advance!

Dick, troll ebay for fork seals and shocks. Measure the shocks on the bike, and look around on Ebay. You can also order Hagon shocks, google it. They are spendy, but really nice and look close to origional. You can get the dimensions for the seals from the microfische on this website if you don't have a parts book.

Thanks Dave for the shock and Fork seal info for my Scrambler. You're the Bomb! If I get stuck I'll ask some more questions.
