cb450 top clamp?

Post by eyhonda » Mon Nov 02, 2009 9:44 am

Is it possible to fit a top clamp from a cb450 to a cb77? Those top clamps should fit if the forks are the same diameter at the top and the offset/spread is the same. I want to fit clip-ons but want to change the top clamp to one with removeable handlebar clamps. Eyeballing the cb450 top clamp makes me wonder if it will fit.

FYI: there's a CB72/77 café racer top bridge/yoke on eBay at the moment, devoid of 'bar clamps. I'll post the link when I spot it again.

Quite expensive if it's not for a 'show-quality' CR. If you just want to make a project CR presentable, buy an original and work / polish it yourself; they appear on eBay quite frequently.
