Sorry for the confusion. My bike sat for years unused. My oil plug was stripped, so I tried to remove the pump cover and broke several of the bolts. It was not an easy fix. If you have problems removing bolts and screws I suggest lots of PB Blaster and time :)
On the oil filter, there are some good pictures of the filter and the proper location of the thrust washer. I hope this helps.
