The only thing to watch out for on the EMGO Dunstalls is the mounting channel on the backside of the muffler. I've had three of them stress fracture right where the hanger bolts onto the channel. It's probably an easy fix, but I made the jump over to Norman Hyde's TOGA Goldstar mufflers, and they're awesome. The sound? Let's just say they definitely put fear into the hearts of my adversaries.

Vince, where did you get those pipes? Do you have a link to their website? Will they work on a CA77? Are they somewhat similar to these pipes from JC Whitney?

Sorry I have so many questions, but I think they look sweet on your bike, and I want some.[/url]

They came from British Cycle Supply out of Wolfville, Nova Scotia. They are much better quality than the EMGO's (about $ 450 - $500 a pair), and they have a 1 1/2" i.d. so no sleeves are required. Norman Hyde worked for Triumph back in the day, and is one of the foremost designers/producers/gurus of high quality products for Triumph bikes (both old and new). Rejetting would probably be required.

As far as them working on a CA77, can't say for certain. They are fatter in size than the EMGO's, and there is a possibility that they'd hang lower than stock ones. I think they'd look too big on a Dream, but I could be wrong.

Just a thought -- maybe look to see what aftermarket repros are available for /5 BMW's. They have a nice classic look, but I'm not sure about the mounting of them. Or, MAC used to make chrome universal megaphones, and they're not too expensive. I had one on a CB350 twin way back when, and it looked really good (the end cap was red!).
