carb help!

Post by Fireman141 » Sun Feb 15, 2015 12:45 am

I have a fresh motor and trans rebuild with a mechanical time set on the motor. Iv rebuilt the carb with new jets and needle and float. but I cant seem to get the thing set at all. im not even sure what size jets are needed. but it will kick over and run on the second kick but its rough idle and smooths out when I get on the throttle. when I checked the plugs they were wet . so I know its running rich but iv adjusted the air mix screw and it still running rich. any help would be appreciated!

Check that the float is not rubbing on the float bowl gasket.

Tell us which bike you have and which jets you have fitted.

I have a Honda Ca77 305. I checked the float seems to move freely. not sure if it set at the right height though I cant find the specs on float height and I don't know how to measure it. this is a whole new concept for me to learn
