Petcock bowl leaks....

Post by Captain Fantastic » Thu Jun 14, 2012 11:23 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm having a problem with my '63 CA77 Petcock.

The bowl has some holes in a couple of places adjacent to the nut on the bottom.

They're not really visible unless backlit.

Here's some photos.

Any suggestions for dealing with this? Anybody have a spare bowl they'd be willing to part with, or a good sealer recommendation?

Thanks!! I don't know why, but JBWeld never crossed my mind. UGH!!

I'll smoosh some into the hole and smear a little on the inside and a little on the outside, do you think?

Smooshing is not very high tech. I'd ram some in there and slather it around.

As it always goes to level all ya need to do is put enough to fill the casting hole and leave it alone overnight. ..........lm
