Need two e-clips for my carburators

I bought keyster card kits to rebuild the carbs for my CB77 and after the process was done i found out that the parts in them are less than desirable. Hence my problem of the throttle cable slipping out every now and then. I have been told by my mechanic that e-clips should fix the problem. I called ohio cycle but they do not have any. Does anyone have any other ideas?<br /><br />(rebuilding this thing after it hadn't been riding in 20 years required throwing the old clips out thanks dad lol)

Z, Welcome to our forum! I'm trying to figure how the cable slips out of the slide. Are the cable ends damaged? or the hole in the slide where the cable attaches? The E clips might be an answer but I don't believe that would be a good fix. What happens if the clip comes loose.........it gets sucked in the cylinder. I think you need to look at the cable ends and slides to see what the problem is. Good Luck! Steve Greer

AS I don't totally understand what this is describing I'll do my best.<br />Inside the top of the slide is a stanped steel needle keeper. Is that the part in question. I know that the Keyster ones are not the best but can be made to work with some effort.<br />I have spares of the original Honda ones if you need oneor two. .............LM
