Hi - Does your clutch have 4 or 5 friction disks and why do you think they need to be replaced? Might just need to be cleaned. Those clutches came in a few different configurations with differing numbers and thicknesses of friction and steel plates. Hopefully you have a 5-disk that hasn't been touch...

1-1/8 turns out on the air mix as per the owner's manual. I'd start at 1/4 turn from contact on the idle stop. I can send you a pdf of the owner's manual if you don't have one. swmrescue@cox.net

Those look like aftermarket mufflers to me mainly due to the shape at the rear. Maybe post some pics of the back sides, and the inlet area and we'll be able to tell for sure. The welding is usually a dead giveaway.
