1966 Black Bomber Project

Here I go again. After several CA77 Restorations, on to a 1966 Honda CB450K0 Black Bomber. Since this picture was taken, it has been compeltely disassembled. It also came complete with Buco bags, rack, grab bar, and evn a faring. If anyone has any words of wisdom, let me know. I am also looking for ...

I found that a spark plug boot with just a touch of RTV holds very well, and will handle the heat from the bulb.

Other than the color, it seems to be just fine. I won't have the restoration completed for another week or so. Just waiting on the chrome. The length is right, it even has the extra cover like the original. I hope that helps.

Other than rechroming, what other processes can be done to clean them up? I purchased some of the aftermarket ones from ebay, and was very unhappy with the quality of them. That is why I decided to go the route that I did. Can you have them replated? The tumbler and the buffer really made them look ...

That could be true! They were waxed prior to installation...maybe that is helping any corrosion.
