why 1 carb?

Hi guys, I just got what seems to be Honda CB77 1962, got it for free from one of the local farmers. Upon the closer inspection at home, I noticed that there is only 1 carb, and there is no opening for the other one. still, the head has 2 cilinders with 2 ex. pipes coming out. So what does it mean? ...
