Unless Nova has resumed production of the 5 speed gearsets for these bikes since the last time I contacted them around a year ago, they are no longer available. I emailed them and was told due to lack of demand and high costs they discontinued production of 5 speeds for the cb72/cb77.

In case you did not get an answer, the kick starter and cover are removed as an assembly. The piece that splines onto the shaft is retained inside the cover by a snap ring. It just slides freely onto the splines of the kick starter shaft. <br />John

I don't know if it is already posted on the site, but Megacycle Cams still lists a selection of grinds for the 250/305 and many other vintage bikes.
