Re: C72 from France

Some news from my C72. I'm still enjoying driving it. Yesterday, a 200 km ride in the autumn sunshine through the vineyards of Bordeaux Saint Emilion (for those who know French wine) in the company of a dozen vintage motorcycles.... and with a wine tasting halfway through. https://i12.servimg.com/u/...

Re: Parts to fix CB77 upshift 1st to 2nd gear?

You need to be careful when buying drums and forks, because there are two models: one for classic boxes XXXXX - 268 - XXX and the other for rotary boxes XXXXX - 259 - XXX, which comes from the C72/C77. Some sites may sell parts for rotary boxes without knowing it, as this is a little-known part that...

Re: CA77 1965 PW22 Re-jetting for sea level

I live at sea level but not far from the Pyrenees with passes up to 6500 feet and if every time I went into the mountains with a carburettor motorcycle I had to dismantle the carburettor, it would be hell..... because we pass several passes and go back down into the valleys several times a day. I'm ...

Re: How to tighten FLywheel Dynamo Nut and Torque SPec

The Shop Manuals don't quote a torque figure for the bolt, tighten without exaggeration (around 12 - 15 ft lbs ?) There are two ways of locking the rotor: if dismantled, secure with a strap. If not disassembled, the solution is to put it in gear and using the rear brake, which will lock the rotor su...

Re: Kick start bushing

We weren't talking about the same part, so it's not the 17.
My problem is always the same: translating highly technical terms into French, and I sometimes find it hard to fully understand what you're talking about.
Where's this one in the engine that I don't die a fool?
