CL77 IDingTake off the gas tanks and look for a white tag on the right side on the wiring harness. Should have the year on it someplace.
CB/CL77 frameA few years ago, I also had an un numbered CL frame on a really nice CL77 bike I sold to a gentleman from Alabama. Ran/looked great altho it had a reddish tank from 1966.
WHEEL kITSIf my memory serves me ( it does have a habit of deserting me in my old age), don't the early wheels utilize the 36 spoke design while the later uses the 40 spoke? TIA, Charlie
CL77 Tank.I had one like that and just some heat to clean the filler out. Also had the rubber tank holders repaired. Seem that they are just tack welded on so if you can find a trashed tank, they could be removed and put on yours.

IDTake the tank off and check the white tag on the wiring harness. I can't help due to the fact I sold all my reference material some time ago.
Engine Removal.From my old memory, I never removed any studs. Just take the rear motor mount off and pick up the ass end and swing it out is what I've always did after taking the exhausts off natch.
