I have a question regarding the three vent tubes on a 65 CA78.; head vent and two located on either side of the carburetor. Originally I thought that the tubes ran from the barbed fittings down and on top of the engine case out towards the back of the engine and dumps outside the frame just in front...

Hi, I was faced with the same problem with my 65 CA 78 restoration. I was fortunate in that I have a good body guy that repaired both front and rear flares. All metal worked, very little filler. Thanks for the reply, good information. As an update, I removed the old bulb, derusted the reflector, and removed all the remaining reflective foil then replated. The reflector surface actually came out better than expected. I am now looking for an led replacement bulb and holder.
