If you have pipes on the carburetor overflows take them off. My CL would run fine for 5 minutes then act like it was out of gas. I don’t know what the relation was but it now run fine without them. YMMV. Good luck.

I kinda have the same problem if the bike has been sitting for a few days. What I do is, one at a time, I remove each fuel line from the petcock just enough to “burp” the line. I sometimes have no fuel flow even with a full tank. I found that if you burp the fuel lines (remove them from the petcock slightly allowing the air to bubble out) that solves the problem. If I run it everyday no problem. If I don’t use it for a week of so I need the burp. YMMV.
