Yes, I had the primary tensioner wheel cut down to fit between cam chain links .
I just wasn’t sure it would hold up without needle bearings .

Will the tensioner wheels with the brass bushing ( no needle bearing ) hold up in cam chain tensioner role ?

I know this topic has been covered extensively but I still have questions. At first I was going to go the KZ650 sprocket route. I bought the recommended bearing but the pin and sleeve wont fit. I suppose I need the ones out of the earlier small wheel tensioner which I don’t have ? Next I had a prima...

I took it to a local guy that fixes electric motors and he said he would dip it in whatever type of varnish he uses and then bake it for 4 hours. He has other things he can do at the same time.

There are spots where the paper is gone on mine but it seems to test out ok

No one has ever done this ?
I thought about epoxy but after reading data sheets it looks like it wouldn’t be compatible with oil
