Re: C77 Jet sizes?

I have been chasing a problem with my 1967 C77 for the past year. It seems to be running badly over rich. I get one or two runs from a set of plugs before they are so fouled that they wont fire any more. I have overhauled the carb, checked that it has the right jets (by number), adjusted the needle...

popping and decleration and hanging idle

Forgot one bit of info, I noticed you mentioned it. My CL77 came stock with the muffler. I changed it out clear back in 1967/68 to straight pipes and rarely used the baffles, still don't. I never gave me problems back then with the altered exhaust. Got lots of altered exhaust tickets, but no engine ...

It runs great at high RPM, but pretty bad a low and especially at low RPM and deceleration. The carbs are original. I bought replacem...

electronic ignition

Any current thoughts or discussion on electronic ignition? I have a 1967 CL77 305 scrambler. Having problems getting it timed correctly, wondering if this will help? It runs well at high RPM, but ratty at low RPM, won't idle either. Not sure if its timing or carburation. I have replaced everything i...

Primary drive chain

Does anyone know where a primary drive chain, located in the right side crank case cover for 1967 CL77 305 scrambler can be purchased? Mine has too much slack. The chain tensioner was replaced, has not solved the problem. The chain is hitting the top of the crank case cover, causing wear. I have had...

Y tubes from the cylinder head

Thanks for the info Loud Mouse, at least I can eliminate that as a problem. I put my own foam filter on the end of the Y tube and left it routed in the air cleaner area where it was before. Hope that will work. Sounds like its not a big deal.
