Thanks for the response Loud Mouse. I have not cut the ends off the plug wires and reconnected them. The timing is correct. Air screw is about 1-1/8 turns out which seems to give me the best balance between idle and throttle response. I will try your suggestions concerning the wire and, if that does...

Right Cylinder Electrical Issue

Good morning Forum, I am having a problem with poor spark on the right cylinder of my '67 CL77. The spark on the right is visibly much weaker than on the left. When I put a new plug in the right side the bike starts easily and idles just fine. After a very short time (20 minutes or so) the right cyl...

Thanks Randy, I plan to pull the jet this weekend and check it out. I did pull the mixture screw for that carb tonight and found gas dripping from the tip. Is this a further indication of a plugged idle jet?

Thanks again for your time and comments!

'67 CL77 Fuel Screw

Good morning Forum, Is it possible for a fuel screw to be worn to the point where if it was tightened all the way in the motor would still run? My left side screw seems to work properly in that the engine will die when it is tightened. When I tighten the right screw the motor continues to run. Any t...

Thank you for the reply. Correcting the wiring will hopefully help with the starting issue and prevent arcing of the right points that I noticed while trying to time the points. Could you send your pictorial description of the points set-up directly to me? I can't seem to enlarge the pictures on the...

CL77 Coil Wiring

Good morning Forum! I am trying to help a friend solve an electrical (sparking) issue with a '66 CL77. I believe the right coil is wired incorrectly but would like confirmation from someone more knowledgeable than I. This bike has the double coil set-up. Current wiring is the black lead from the swi...
