it’s longer at the valve end. if it interferes with the valve i can file it down i just wonderd if this was normal for replacement parts that are supposed to be genuine

new valve guides just turned up and i noticed they are a few mil longer than the ones i took out. Anyone ever had this with replacment guides as there supposed to be genuine parts

would that require any special tooling to ensure they are lined up at the end or would they only go back together in the correct form. are the easy to get them apart. as i can get the bit i need to replace on ebay for about £30

i didn’t know you could get them apart. my parts list has them down as all one part number. i figured they perminatly at the factory.

as far as 180 degrees goes i believe anything other than that is considered to not be standard. i’m in norfolk what part of the country are you in

Cl77 Crank shaft

In need of a usable crank shaft for a 65-68 CL77 I have managed to get 2 so far neither i can use. one has been modified and won’t accept the correct bearing and the other has a tap snapped off in the internal thread which is proving impossible to get out. iv got my local engineering firm working on...

thank you so much for all your help i’m happy to report the guides are out. would you recommend heating the new ones in
