Thank you for the response! I tightened it down and got the. Cam chain to go on, will try the tensioner today but is it normal to have the cam chain that tight or should there be some slack in the chain? Also should the tensioner go up in the engine with the roller slightly upwards? Thank you again!

Fresh rebuild cam chain feels too tight

Hi guys, I just put the top end on last night and was having trouble getting the cam chain on. It is a new cam chain but I'm wondering if I've missed a step. I put the camshaft and bearings in and got that dailed in. Put the new Pistons in and fitted the head. Cam roller is in fine. I didn't put the...

I'm sorry I have some many questions. This is where I am at now and they don't seem to move anymore. Screw driver is there to show which way they should go out.

I meant the bearings ARE NOT coming out with tapping. I was writing fast while cursing the bike. Haha

Haha I thought so too, I'm supposed to get the first bearing out correct? And then put the second bearing into the tunnel and tap it out correct?

The bearings are NOT coming out with tapping.
