To answer your question"why take them out?" : because I couldn't stand the rattling of the rotted out right side! I figured taking both out was better than just one until I find replacements.

I removed the exhaust baffles on my 305 dream. Do I have to make any mixture screw or other adjustments to compensate for the decreased back pressure?
