got it!

just for giggles...... i reversed the 2 wires from the lamp to harness. they were attached via correct color codes to main harness. some bonehead must must have spliced the main harness and reversed these wires further toward the main. all works as should. i guess the "never assume" rule applies. on...

tried grounding bulb socket at base as well as addtl ground on housing. on "run" setting when brake is actuated one filaments lights, however on headlight on position "no brakes" both filaments light with nothing else changing when i step on brake. weird stuff. hey mike, if socket base wasn't ground...

a newbie in upstate ny (saratoga springs)

any 305 dream owners in albany saratoga area? just picked up a pair of 67 dreams and could use a "big brother/sister" with resto stuff and looking to see how these are restored correctly. can't do the trip to vjmc rally. anyway, thank you. hope i posted this in the right place. dave 5187 242 9275

thanks mike, will try that after work tom. just rebuilt the carb and fired it, a bit rough and will set mixture and check points etc. i picked up 2 dreams, one to restore to factory, the other was painted camo, black rims and a solo seat. one will go, but both were electrical nighmares and the previ...

with headlight on, no brakes, both tail filaments lit

ok weird. need a place to start.

brake light works correctly when headlight is not on, but with headlight on and no brake actuated, the tail light lights up both filaments. bulb is ok, brake actuator is ok. headlight works correctly on both high and low beam.

any ideas?
