The CB72 and CB77 purchased new in the early 60's had no grease in the steering head bearings just one of the things Honda failed to do like very little paint under the tank.

I would be very careful with any grease in the brake arm area to much and it can find it's way into the drum, perhaps Honda withdrew the nipples as folk were over doing the grease.
