starter clutch greasei've been using a moly-based silicone grease to lube my starter clutch- just a very small amount seems to work just fine. (i put on the spring end caps along with any areas that slide or move.- bk
spring compressori had good luck with one i got a couple of years ago at sears. it was an adjustable locking ratchet model and with just a few minor modifications it has worked well for me many times. (at the time i believe it was only around $25.00 ?- bk
buddy strapmy 1963 cb77 had a spring steel reinforcing strap inserted into the hold down fabric for strength? and/or form. when i recovered my seat with the replacement cover and strap, i found using new banding strapping for the new insert to work perfect. i also used new ss bolts and nuts to finish the job. ...
