Sorry for the long delay, I was out of town and had to get back to get pictures. The reflector is made out of metal and is plated on the reflector side. The metal bends around the glass to hold the glass in place. there is a rubber seal between the glass and the reflector. I used a Dremel tool with ...

Don't throw your old bulb away. I was able to cut the seal around the edge of mine open and solder in a new bulb. ( the original is soldered into the reflector in the back. ) then I carefully cleaned and dried it out, wiped down the reflector and glued it back together with clear silicone and a weig...

Well I finally decided to TIG weld the oil pump. Fortunately I got good weld area penetration and no warping that I can tell. There was good fusion, and a little bit of parent metal melt back, so the machining should take place on fresh 4000 series aluminum. I realize it doesn't look very pretty in ...

My background is as an aircraft engine mechanic. I have rebuilt several of these engines, bored oversized and honed. Has anyone tried TIG welding an aluminum alloy onto the oil pump scoring area and re-machining it to the original size? The only drawback I can come up with is possible warping, and possibly some bubbles inide the weld area. I had a CB77 lower case TIG welded where a screw had been tightened too muc...

Good news, I found the washer behind the main drive chain tensioner bracket. So at some time it was put on the wrong side, and fell there. Still wondering where to find the huge rubber orings that go on the filter case cover.... any ideas?
