Honda CB160 forks vs. CB200 forks

Hi everyone -
Just posting to get opinions about one of the upgrades sometimes made for CB160 race bikes; namely, changing to CB200 forks. Would like to hear thoughts on whether there is a distinct difference in these forks (springs or other components) that warrant such an upgrade. Thanks!

G-man: I was at that race ( about three weeks ago as I recall). Thanks for the input. Believe me - losing about 10-15 pounds is definitely one of the modifications that I am considering!

Thanks G-man. I should have mentioned that this would be to build up a racing motor. I am just considering "simple" alterations that may improve things a bit without spending big bucks on more sophisticated go-fast modifications. To be clear, which gears are spring loaded? The small ones on the cran...

Thanks Mike. Should I assume, then, that when the lines are attached and the bowls are filled that there will be equal resistance between the two - resulting in either 1) equal continuous flow to both carbs or 2) flow to either carb when it is needed?

uneven feul flow from petcock outlets

Hi everyone. After 3 years of restoration on my 1964 CB77 I am very close to kicking her over and am trying to ensure that all is in order before doing so. In attempting to check the fuel flow to the carbs, I thought I'd run a test using mineral spirits to 1) flush out any small particulates and 2) ...

exhaust collar / flange differences

Hi everyone. Seems apparent that there must have been a change to the finned exhaust collars when the CB77 exhaust system changed from two piece to one piece. I am assuming that the diameter of the hole was increased so that they can be slipped over the flange on the header. The hole on my early col...
