Thanks for the reply. The engine number is CA77E 1009540. It is the original cam.

I have a 65 305 dream that I am rebuilding the engine on. It has a split camshaft that I cannot get apart because I don't know if it is a right or left handed thread. The manual says that it could be either which does not help me. Any thoughts out there?
