I have a weak amber colored spark at the plugs. Have tuned everything and bike runs great. Should this color be normal. I would think blue spark. Replaced plug wires,etc.
Coil is probably getting weak after 50 years..

Fixed it!Fixed the problem by carefully milling 1/16" off end of throttle slider at handlebar. Enough to lower the idle rpm to manageable adjusting .
CableNew aftermarket cable is too long after adjustment. Double checked all else.

Soda BlastingI have not soda blasted but did use very fine grade sand to sand blast an assembled engine. I spent tons of time sealing up ports, seals, etc. 3x each before performing the job. Directional control skill and a good nozzle tip are non negotiables. I know some would debate this and not sure I would do...
