I ran into a difficult personal snag that is slowing my progress on the project, sorry for the delay. However, I was able to replace the circlip on the clutch basket, and that seems to have been the problem with the cable pull being too easy, it was just pushing the basket out, instead of the...

I had cleaned the clutch plates already, checked them out and they seemed OK. Had a brand new cable installed (maybe it's too long?), and lubed that completely. I did adjust the clutch at the right case with the slotted screw/cap, and tightened the 10mm bolt, as best I could from all of the directio...

Thanks for the offer swardlaw. I'm pretty sure I have all the parts (I even have a few extras that came off and don't know where they go back yet...), but you never know, and depending on how it goes in the next several days, I may be looking for some help. I need to get a new circlip, the old one c...

After getting the bike to fire up, I noticed that pulling in the clutch lever gave absolutely no resistance. I pulled both cases off (a couple of times), and eventually found the circlip that holds the clutch basket on the shaft was just sitting there. I assumed that when I pulled the lever, instead...

Thanks for the information. While it took a little work, and some time, that sounds cheap enough to get a title. I had been told several things over the phone: couldn't ever get a title, "maybe" with an indemnity bond...I should have gone in person. I'll head down there this week, and get the ball r...

Made a little progress over the last week, (although, as of this writing, more gremlins were identified...) I was able to remove 2 of the 3 screws holding the body of the petcock on, the third one had other ideas. Somewhat gentle impact driver, PB, heat soak, repeat. 3 days later it complied. A comp...

Cattterar, your bike is really looking great! It is quite evident that you put a lot of time into it over the past year, hope you enjoyed yourself. I'm closing in on the finish line of my '66 Dream (was just signing on to post some pics), and would love to know how you got yourself an NC title. Ever...
