Newbie starting 2nd season. Observations and lessons...

'64 CB77 Superhawk in white. True barn find had not run since 1981. Missing nothing! My first mistake was thinking a new battery could survive our tough winters. It died, probably froze and had to be replaced. Is it better to "battery tend" or just remove and put inside? New battery in and the old g...

Thanks! I'm new here and just getting to know my '64 CB77. While riding around last summer, I found myself flipping my light switch around to change charging rates and I thought to myself, "self, get a little digital readout so you can see what's going on". Good job Cadman, C.

When I rebuilt my petcock last summer, I used the basket-in-can carb cleaner to clean the parts. I think the best thing I did was surface the flat dirverter. I polished the surface with some fine Wet or Dry (not sure if it was 400 or finer) on a ground flat plate. It works very smoothly and just fee...

'64 CB77 barn find last ran in 1981. Many here offered to loosen the cap if having a problem. My bike was starving and I would see bubbles in the fuel line. Did the hammer dismantle of the fuel cap and found the vent hole completely blocked. I will drill an axillary hole 180 degrees out from that on...

Followup: ’64 CB77 with 15k miles. I surfaced the flanges and insulator/spacers but still had a problem. With the air filters off, I could see the right side slide not returning freely to idle. To rule out the cable, I removed the cable and needle from the slide and checked the movement in the bore ...

I got 4 bulbs from the local Honda dealer. They did have them and they were genuine Honda for $1.56 each. Not bad for the stealership. I also ordered 4 LED's. I got two reds to try in the gauges and a blue for the high beam. The red for the gauges may not be bright enough or look good but I thought ...
