i'm sorry, i can't help you with that, but i have learned from filling up my first tank that modern gas will ruin old paint. this might be common knowledge, but be careful if you were't aware.

well, now that 20 people have read the post and there hasn't been one response, maybe some of you others need more help than i do. <br /><br />http://www.howstuffworks.com is an excelent site and just the thing for learning about things like engines.

recommended reading for newbie?

Hi, I was just wondering if any of you out there knew of a good source that I can use to learn motorcycles and properly understand their maintenance and mechanics? I'm new to engines, a broken cb77 is now my first bike and i've never even seen the engine of my car. wow. thanks.
