Well, I got her running! Turns out the spark problem just needed a little more love, (points file vs. 400 grit sand paper), and she fires with the original points, condenser, and coil. Wow, I didn't think this would be so difficult to pin down! My bike has an engine number that is 500 above the limit listed for 1963, and a frame number that is 200 numbers under the upper limit listed for for a 1963 CA77, but is clearly stamped CA78.
