Wow! Thanks, guys. One last question...My battery is actually dead. While I wait for a replacement, I've been connecting my battery charger to the terminals, and setting it to the high-amperage "Start" position. This has worked for me in the past when the battery wasn't completely dead (but too low ...

No reponse from electric starter

I did a search and didn't find exactly what I was looking for, so I'm posting here to see if anyone can help. The electric starter on my CB77 worked fine last season. Then I let the bike sit outdoors for the winter, and am trying to get it started again. Now, all I hear when I hit the starter button...

Re: Leaky Tank

Hey George,

The leak is very slow. The seam is just damp all the time (I don't think it drips, but the right carb always has a little gas on it).

So, I'm up for whatever repair suggestions you have. Or if you've got one you are willing to part with, send me an email.
<br /...

Leaky Tank

The tank has a slight leak on my CB77. Does anyone have any pointers on repairing the problem? The leak is right at the seam along the bottom right edge.

Thanks.

Stripped oil plug

I have tried to change the oil in a CB77 that I bought recently, but the oil plug is stripped. It's loose, but doesn't unscrew. Does anyone have any experience re-tapping this? Is it possible or even advisable?

Thanks,
Scott

Re: CB77 throttle position

George and Stoic - thanks for all the great info. I read the repair logs, and you're right, there is a lot of good stuff in there!

I solved the problem by further adjusting the throttle cable and now the bike runs great! Idle is perfect (or at least can be properly adjusted by the idle sc...

Re: CB77 throttle position

Thanks, George! I adjusted the throttle cable at the grip and was able to get the slides almost all the way down in the carb housing. Now, it looks like I just need to screw the barrel adjusters all the way down and I should be set.

The sticking problem remains, though. Could you suggest...
