Getting parts rechromed has become a limiting factor in restoring these old bikes, unless you don't care that you end up with twice as much money in them than they are worth.

I was thinking the same terminal supplied power to everything, was not aware that there was a separate headlight/taillight terminal. If so you are right, seems like your switch is not working properly in the center position, all the way over seems right.

You may need to sand the face of the body where the two little screws attach as well, this will maintain the tightness lost if you had to sand a lot off of the handle face. Make sense?

Do you have the headlight switch on the outside of the headlight bucket turned to the on position? Do you know it your horn works when direct power it applied? Sounds like your ign switch is testing out properly.
