Thanks to all for that info. At least now I can be confident that I am getting a proper torque where needed. Do any of you use liquid locknut on those nuts and bolts? I have some medium strenghth pucky that I thought about using, but now, not sure if it is a good idea.

Thanks Dave. Appreciate that info if you have it. I have searched the forum and after reading post after post, I cannot find an answer. I would have thought it would have been asked and answered many times, but I guess not...Ron..

torque for re-tightening the nuts and bolts on the case

This question probably has been answered many times, but I will ask once more. What is the torque for tightening the bolts and nuts on the split case? I thought 20 ft pounds, and that seems ok for the 14 mm nuts, and too much for the 10 mm nuts and bolts. I don't want to strip out the threads. Also,...

thickness 5-clutch disk system in 1967 CB77

Just about ready to order a new 6-pack clutch friction disk set (3mm thick), when I saw the tutorial on the clutches Honda used. I did not realize that they had both a 5-disk and 6-disk system. I pulled my clutch and discover that I do have the 5-disk system. My book (Clymer Publications) only cover...

Thanks. I use Marvel's Mystery Oil in the gas of some of my other engines from time to time, but never thought about mixing it with the engine/transmission oil. Maybe some other's have an opinion before I use it.

Mike. Sorry, I did mean left side cover. I saw that mistake after I posted. Just wondering, If I can remove the shifter drum without splitting the case? Would any shifting forks and linkages drop to make it impossible to put it back in? If your other suggestion don't work, I may want to try that.
