1969 CA77 (Late Model) float valve set OEM part
I own a 1969 CA77. I want to order an OEM float valve set but I’ve run into an issue identifying the part #. All of the Honda dealers’ parts fiche’s only show part #’s for the “early models”, 1961-1963. The 1964- 1969 models are considered “late models “. The part # that in find online for the early...

Re: 1969 CA77 Condenser
Hey Muddy, Well, even though my Dream issue is not completely resolved, it’s nice to have the problem isolated to one area. I’ll concentrate on the details of the carburetor until I get it running properly. My sincere thanks to you for all of the time you invested and the advice and knowledge you sh...

Re: 1969 CA77 Condenser
Figured out one of the two new plugs i bought was bad. Replaced with one of the older one and the bike started right up. The bad news is the original symptom that I am trying to remedy is still the issue. I guess we can rule out the condenser since the CL77 was wired for this start up. The problem i...

Re: 1969 CA77 Condenser
Hey Muddy, Regarding the spark plug test….. do you put the body of the plug in solid contact with the cylinder or do you try to ground the gap end against the cylinder. My test light comes on both when the line on the camshaft is pointing directly downward, as your photo indicates, and when the line...

Re: 1969 CA77 Condenser
I haven’t checked the line on the camshaft. Wasn’t aware of this concept. Also, when I tested for spark I used a test light device that has a spark plug cap on one end that attaches to the plug and the other end has a probe that goes in the plug cap and a glass bulb in the middle. When I kick the bi...

Re: 1969 CA77 Condenser
Hi Muddy. Still no luck getting it started. I adjusted the floats about a mm and that cured the carburetor over flow issue. Good spark , timing is right on, 12V at the points. I need to make sure I am hooking up the CL 77 condenser properly. First, there are basically 2 single CA77 condensers enclos...
