tank sealer

thanks rustywrench. I'm really impressed with the job that the evaporust has done. I wish I would have taken before and after pictures. It's available at Autozone but only in quarts at $9.00. If you have a Harbor Freight close by they have 1/2 gallons. I'll be on my way to NAPA on Monday to pick up ...

OK kids... Here's some photos of the tank and the frame rubber mounts. Doesn't look like anyone has messed around with the tank brackets. Can't tell for sure without another one to look at. go HERE: http://dashplaque.net/CL77_tank I've had the tank soaking in Evaporust water based rust remover for a...

carb/head photos

Here's a photo with the tank off. Wow... was I surprised when I took the tank off. It was much rustier than I thought. When this bike last had any gas in it (2002) we only used 100LL airplane fuel and were very careful to flush it properly. It has some light scale and a lot of surface rust. This ope...

Just checked the bushings. They're there and look almost new. When the tank bolt is loosened there is no play in the bushing. The tank appears to be in the only position in can be in.... I'm going to remove the tank next weekend as it has a small bit of rust inside. I'll be able to get more photos t...

Thanks for the response loud mouse. I've posted some good photos here: http://dashplaque.net/CL77

I just don't understand the reason that the tank brackets were cut for the carbs to fit. I have another set of carbs and they look the same.
BTW the fender is certainly an 8 holer.
Thanks
Stuart
